I have spent nine months missing out on or being denied the super-exciting Stork Parking Spot at ANY of the places I've parked throughout this pregnancy.
It became a joke with Scott, with us kidding about a teenage boy stealing the spot or someone who just wanted closer parking thinking the likelihood of a pregger lady showing up being too small to park a spot further away.
As time has gone on, we've even joked that we should stand next to the car in the spot (which doesn't even exist at many places around here!)and compare bellies to the person who claims the car.
But then, as Scott and I pulled into the grocery store parking lot last night, I squealed with delight -- and shock. The Stork Spot was EMPTY!!!
We had to veer around the parking lot because we missed the aisle at first, but then we were there, pulling in to the coolest little spot in the parking lot.
It only took three trimesters and until I was within two weeks of my due date before we were able to take advantage of the spot, but took advantage of it we did.
My husband even thanked me for being pregnant. :-)
