Passenger update -- 29 weeks

Hello all!
Another week has absolutely flown by! Every time I worry that this process is starting to really drag on, Thursday lands at my feet, reminding me of another weekly milestone. It's unbelievable how quickly 40 weeks is going by... so far!

Hello, 29 weeks! Baby Z and I welcome you...

(From Babycenter.com):
Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.

(From whattoexpect.com):
How big is your baby this week? She weighs nearly three pounds now and measures about 17 inches. Though she's getting pretty close to her birth length, she still has to chub out a bit. In fact, over the next 11 weeks, she'll more than double — or even come close to tripling — her weight. And as she grows and the room in your womb gets tighter, you'll be less likely to feel those big kicks and more likely to get poked by an elbow or jabbed by a knee.

And... very exciting news! My little butternut squash and I are officially in our third trimester! Isn't that just great news! It wasn't too long ago where making it to the first trimester was a countdown. I think soon we can count down to BABY'S BIRTHDAY!!! :-)

Thank you for all your continued love... and for reading. I love the comments you send my way. They're being saved in a folder to one day include, along with these entries, in a gift to the baby so he can learn everything he ever wanted to know about the fruit/vegetable he most resembled each week. :-)

PS - Please send e-mails to szook24@gmail.com DEMANDING your blog entry explaining how we chose the baby's name... !!! Muhaha!
