Guest blog: From Grandma Zook

Today marks the first in what will hopefully be several guest posts from loved ones near and far about everything and anything that comes to their minds.

This post is taken word-for-word from Debbie, the soon-to-be paternal grandmother of Little Baby Z:

Hi Baby:

First and foremost you should know: we love you already! Being your grandparents is something we really look forward to.
Back to the beginning.

Your father, Scott, was a miracle for us. We married when we were older (28 and 33) and Scott was born when we were 30 and 35. We were so blessed to have him when for awhile we thought we might never have children. Because of our ages, I think we tried to enjoy and appreciate every minute of the time we had with Scott. Not saying there weren't rough days because there always are when you are trying to work, keep house and raise a child. But we wouldn't trade one second for anything.
Fast forward.

Then we were blessed again when Scott brought home a beautiful, intelligent and special young woman (Wendy, is that enough adjectives. LOL) who will soon be your "Momma". We aren't kidding when tell people, "we finally have a daughter". We couldn't possibly love her more than if she'd been our natural daughter, but then, of course, that wouldn't be a good thing, since then she couldn't have married Scott and created you.
Up to date.

So that pretty much brings you up to date. We are patiently waiting for your arrival so we can spoil you rotten because that's what grandparents are supposed to do. I've always believed that you can't spoil a child with love. And you are now--and definitely will be--LOVED.

Hugs and kisses, Grandma Debbie
