I thought I would dedicate a post to my cravings with pretty much all food and my desire to keep Scott running to the grocery store several times a week for "emergencies" -- like a shortage of vanilla pudding.
First of all, yes, I realize I am like a scene out of Baby Mama and that yes, whatever I eat, the baby eats. Can I say that these choices are not necessarily my decision? It's like some crazy alien has wiggled its way into my body and is sending chemical messages to my brain about Fruity Pebbles.
Wait, that did happen.
And I am eating Fruity Pebbles right now. Eeeeeks!
Most days begin with 2-4 bowls (I am so serious) of Fruity Pebbles, Cocoa Pebbles or Cocoa Puffs. Don't judge. Gone are the days of Cheerios and Fiber One cereal. Baby no like-y.
I have one mid-morning snack -- pudding, Fig Newtons, etc.
Lunch follows and is more moderately-sized than breakfast and really depends on what we have in the fridge or where I'm at at that time for work.
There are usually two small snacks before dinner, which Scott is in charge of. (That means me and baby don't get much say at this meal but usually eat pretty healthy).
One more snack (Fig Newtons or M&Ms usually) and to bed we go.
I also am drinking water constantly -- about 60 ounces in your average day, plus a glass of fruit juice in the morning and my one soda per day (Doctor said I could!).
Likes: salad, some vegetables (cauliflower, carrots, beets, spinach...), tart Granny Smith apples, Fig Newtons, vanilla pudding, pizza, mozzarella sticks (OK, ANYTHING Italian), eggs, chicken, spicy food and much more.
Oh, and the pickles. Yes, I am THAT pregnant woman. I am down to the last bit of my THIRD jar of pickles since Sunday, juice and all. Heinz 57 hamburger dill pickle chips to be exact.
Dislikes: All other meat (turkey, red meat, hamburgers especially), anything with onions, candy, ice cream, cheese.
I eat about every 90 minutes to two hours and don't remember the last time I felt full, haha.
I read in one of my mommy-to-be books that starting at about this time, the baby starts building a preference for his or her foods based upon what they get through you. Time to cut out the Fruity Pebbles? Hmrph.
We'll see.

Hilarious! My mom told me she craved baloney when she was pregnant with me and my sisters. Gross. It probably contributed to my being a vegetarian.
