Love is all around us

I feel extra loved lately.
Or maybe I'm more observant of a love that's always been there.

You see, there's this handsome guy who puts up with my random requests for Spaghetti-os, cereal (three bowls of it) and juice; who has done more laundry in the past two months than perhaps ever before in our relationship; who never complains, never even frowns. I knew he was THE ONE almost instantly and I'm glad I was right about him being a good husband, a great father and my absolute best friend.

Then there's said handsome guy's family. We took Scott's parents to a hot dog and hamburger place last night just for kicks and had a blast. I feel so close to them and so lucky to have them care about us as much as they do.
Today, I met with Scott's mom Debbie for lunch when I was in town for some work things and despite just seeing her less than 24 hours ago, we had a lot of fun chatting girl-style. I know that Debbie and Calvin are going to be wonderful grandparents (and I'm looking forward to the spoiling of their first grandchild!).

Speaking of spoiling, my amazing Aunt Alice called me tonight. She just got home from spending a week in Hong Kong and China. One of the first things she told me (after asking how the baby was doing and telling me about her trip) was that Uncle Paul just.had.to. get a Chinese-style baby outfit for Little Baby Z. It's so, so sweet that he's that excited about baby-to-be. :-)

And then there are the friends who send me funny e-mails and baby questions pretty frequently and who seem genuinely interested in how WE are doing. It means the world to me.

Love really is all around the three of us.
