We have been counting the days 'til my parents' visit this past weekend for what seemed like months. We wanted to tell them our news in person and the last time we saw them, we felt it was too early to talk about Little Baby Z.
The weekend finally came and we decided to slip some copies of our ultrasound photos into Valentines' Day cards for Nana and Grandpa.
Their car was barely in the driveway and the suitcases barely in the house when Janet noticed the cards.
My dad was distracted.
Janet opened her card.
My dad was still distracted.
Janet laughs out loud when she opens the card and sees the pictures and leaves the room quickly.
My dad finally opened his card.
Just when I'm gloating inside about managing to keep a secret from them for so long -- and such a HUGE secret, too! -- Janet hands ME a card.
A "Congrats on your pregnancy" card.
She said it was intuition and that she's known since December.
I'm never keeping a huge secret this long again. For the next Baby Z., we're shouting it from the rooftops.
I'm glad all the key players know about our baby-to-be and that we truly are surrounded by love, love and more love.

LOL! I wonder how she knew? I meant to tell you that I guessed a while ago, too, after you wrote on your old blog about a secret you were keeping .... I just had a feeling, but didn't want to ask in case you were trying to keep the news quiet. ;)
